The Barn at Urban Connection Farm is a commercial wildflower farm and function & events venue. Our venue specialises in weddings & corporate events, whilst our flower production focuses on delivering direct to local florists throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Valley & Port Stephens. Our business was born from a passion of plants, agriculture and a drive to connect people in nature which placed our business right at the heart of the growing Agritourism movement
What do you love about being a part of the business community in Port Stephens?
I have met some wonderful business owners in the region and there is an overwhelming sense of community, willingness to support one another & just an open door for a cup of coffee and a chat about what’s been happening.
What are your 3 best features and benefits?
- I feel very proud that we have created a space where people can relax and let go, no matter the reason for their visit.
- We really pride ourselves on making things easy for our customers. Whether that is booking an event with all inclusions or a seamless check-in for our Air Bnb guests.
- How can I go past our flower farm! Each year we are adding new plantings to our fields, and the existing plantings are maturing with more blooms each season – Just gorgeous!

I wanted to connect and meet other members of our business community.
Shout out to your favourite local businesses(es) in Port Stephens?
The Dirty Gardener in Woodville! We love heading out to the nursery on a Friday with the kids. There is always great coffee and food, sandpit for the kids to play whilst I get my weekly fix of poking around in plants planning my next garden.
Port Stephens Wedding Collective – this is new Non for-profit initiative developed to support and promote the Port Stephens wedding industry. It has been founded by Florent Vidal Photography, Tanilba House, Heaven’s Gardens, Aimee’s at Anna Bay & Urban Connection. I have loved meeting & working with this amazing group of people & am so excited for our next steps as a group.
